This week, in addition to project 2, we have prepared four lengthy Drafter programs that can show you what more realistic applications look like. We’re finally reaching the point where we can make more sophisticated software!

Start the project now so you have as much time as possible to seek help when needed!

Four Programs

• Ghost hunter: Find all the ghosts in a grid
• Protein Lookup: Find out how much protein is in various foods
• Commenter: Annotate text with comments
• Todo List: Create, update, and delete todo items

The four programs this week are meant to be larger scale programs. Each one is two- to three- hundred lines long (including documentation). Of course, the programs are still small compared to most realistic software applications (which can be thousands or even millions of line long). Still, they’re going to be the biggest programs that you’ve seen so far in this curriculum.

Read over each program, and make sure you answer the quiz questions. Although some of the questions are quite tricky, they are meant to make sure that you have read the programs closely.

We also strongly encourage you to experiment with these programs. Try adding new features and modifying existing features. Perhaps one of these could be the base of your final project!
