In a make task you use the skills you have learned to create a program from scratch. There is no starter code: you begin with an empty editor.

Your task

Assign a name and a favourite food to 2 separate variables with suitable names, and output the contents of the variables on 2 separate lines.

Use these values, so that the output can be checked automatically:

Your program should output exactly this:

Andy
fish and chips

Output the contents of the variables, not the text itself. A program that outputs the right two lines without ever storing anything in a variable is missing the point of the task.

Help! My code doesn't work!

Make sure that you check for the following things:

  • You have typed the variable name exactly the same, capital letters included, every time.
  • There is a variable on the left of each assignment, and the data is on the right.
  • You have used a single = for assignment.
  • The string text is surrounded with speech marks.
  • The string (including the speech marks) is surrounded by brackets in a print.
